Welcome to Technically Games!

Are you new here? Great to meet you! Let's get you up to speed.

We run Lightning Talk events which showcase bite-sized talks paired with a bite to eat and new friends to meet as well as an Online Conference which offers a chance to dive deep into technical topics with lovely folks from all across Australia.

Think technical in the context of your discipline, we provide a platform for all things technical in games: programming, art, security, audio and more. Our focus is in the craft of making games, from the engines that we build our games on, to the animation that breathes life into characters, and everything in between.

So jump on in - we’re excited to have you with us!

What's on next

TG Lightning Talks @ Queensland Games Festival 2026
Presented by
Technically Games & brIGDA

June 26 2026 - Brisbane Powerhouse

Speak Event Info
We acknowledge the Yuggera and Turrbal people, the First Nation Traditional Owners of the land on which is home to the Brisbane Powerhouse. We pay respects to all Elders past and present and acknowledge the young leaders who are working beside our Elders in our cultural industries. We recognise all First Nation peoples as the original storytellers of these lands and acknowledge the important role they continue to play in our community.

We think knowledge sharing and networking oppertunities should be accessible to game developers all across Australia and that's why we're taking our Lightning Talk format to more states while working towards brining back the online conference.

Help us grow together

Would you like to see a Lightning Talk event in your state? We need your help!

We're actively looking for ways to fund more Lightning Talk events across Australia and letters of support go a long way to helping with that. Tell us about what a Lightning Talk evening would mean to your local community.

If you're in a position to sponsor events and want to help us on our journey we would love to hear from you and chat about how we can work together.

If you'd like to get in touch you can send us an email at info@technicallygames.com.au.

Don't forget to Check out our archive page where you can find all of our talented speakers with recordings from past events!

See you around - Luis & the TG Team
