Joey Egger is Screen Australia’s Head of Games.

She is an Emmy, Peabody, and Webby Award-winning digital content specialist and has held leadership roles at organisations including Sesame Workshop, ABC Kids, Two Bulls/Two Moos, and DEPT Agency where she led Games and Innovation for the APAC region. She also served on the board for IGEA and the Digital Games Tax Offset.

Goldie oversees the guidelines and manages applications for Screen Australia’s grants and initiatives as a Games Investment Manager. She has extensive experience in the indie games space, covering art direction and digital art, marketing and business development across projects such as Florence, Untitled Goose Game and Wayward Strand. She specialises in the freelance experience, balancing artistic pursuit with meaningful career development. Previously, she was the visual art lead for Freeplay Festival 2013-2020, and loved every minute of teaching Creative Practice as part of the Games Design degree at RMIT.
