3D Printing New Zealand

Lamington Lounge: 4:00pm - 4:30pm AEDT

We can draw inspiration from nature to generate models for use in our games and artwork. Land Information New Zealand publishes a large variety of data, including district shape files and height maps of New Zealand. To create usable 3d models, we need to go on a geospatial and data manipulation journey with Python. The result is a programmatically generated 3d printed art piece of New Zealand.
