Gamergate happened several years ago but we as an industry should not be complacent. We need to look at how we can better take care of each other in this industry. Let's look at what ideas and practices can we apply from another industry to help us protect and defend each other.

Gyle's day job includes using DFIR (Digital Forensics & Incident Response) skills and knowledge to help protect and defend the employees and clients of her organisation. In the evenings and weekends, she volunteers with different communities and does public speaking for the causes she cares about. Aside from being a practitioner of OSINT4Good, she is also an accredited Mental Health First Aider (standard).
Maize is co-convenor of Game Workers Australia, and during the day works in audio across indie games and big budget AAA, as well as their own experimental work. Maize's work and expertise has been showcased around the world in museums and galleries, and at conferences and industry initiatives.
